Growing up in Texas, Rushton “Rush” Skinner became acquainted with the outdoors from a young age.
He practiced automotive maintenance and repair in local garages since the time he was legally allowed to work, according to the State of Texas.
That same state gave him the education needed for a career in journalism, but would not suffice in its ability to deliver significant experience beyond that which he’d already been exposed.
Since 2023, then, Rush has reported full-time in the British Virgin Islands, specializing in investigations journalism and often reporting in adverse conditions.
